The fourth solo film by the director of REC 3: Genesis will be a gobsmacking horror-thriller and will see Ana Torrent make a comeback to the big screen. While I thoroughly enjoyed REC 1 and 2 which are both completely found-footage formatted, giving them both five stars, it was about 6 or 7 minutes in that that the found-footage format of REC 3 stopped. Though not a bad movie on its own, if you're looking for something similar to and 2, you should look elsewhere. The bad reviews are those that had too high of expectations this is not a bad film. Multiplying the video-cams only dilutes the effect.

It looks like co-director Jaume Balaguero will be onboard again for the fourth installment so here's hoping 4 will take the series back to it's roots. I liked it a lot and was able to divorce the experience from the first films.

Rec1 and Rec2 were turly awesome I really have to admit that I'm not a big fan of the camera. That and 2 were so good relied hugely on the realism of the setting and a knack for jangling your nerves in a visceral, atavistic way.
